Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Intern to join our procurement team. The Purchasing Intern will support our purchasing department in various tasks related to sourcing, procurement, and supplier management.
This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of procurement and contribute to real-world projects within our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with researching potential suppliers and gathering information on products and services.
- Support the procurement team in the preparation and issuance of purchase orders.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather purchasing requirements and specifications.
- Monitor and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
- Provide general administrative support to the purchasing department as needed.
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a Diploma/Bachelor's degree program in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
Strong analytical and research skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Interest in learning about procurement processes and supply chain management.
Previous experience or coursework in purchasing, supply chain, or related areas is a plus.
