Job overview:
The Junior Presentation Designer is an entry level position where the new hire is expected to gain an in-depth understanding of the Oliver Wyman branding and work processes to support consulting and non-consulting staff in communicating data and information in diverse business situations and in a fast-paced environment.
- Template-based standard formatting: Ensure consistency in branding, formatting and layout of presentations using OW and other companies' templates.
- Optimization: Offer basic layout alternatives if needed and add icons and images to enhance key messages and overall look.
Key Responsibilities:
- Become proficient in PowerPoint and the Oliver Wyman templates and tools by actively participating in extensive onboarding training.
- Work on standard presentations: Create, format and layout information in any PowerPoint template to support the specific needs of a client or project and ensure a professional look, while sticking to brand and template guidelines.
- Work efficiently and collaboratively with local Workflow Coordinator.
- Convey clear written and verbal messages to communicate and collaborate with colleagues and clients, responding to instructions and feedback, confirm receipt of materials and inform clients when work is started or picked up.
- Take ownership of assigned work and reach out to colleagues (Manager, Trainer, or Presentation Designers) to clarify assigned tasks or escalate any problem, as necessary.
- Develop PowerPoint presentations that comply with the department's quality standards and meet client deadlines, with guidance and quality control from colleagues (Manager, Trainer, or Presentation Designers).
- Participate in team and departmental meetings and workshops, virtual or in person, to keep up to date and improve understanding.
- Gain an indepth understanding of the Oliver Wyman operations to make better content and contextbased design decisions and to support the firm's goals, mission, and values.
- Understand and fulfill all firmwide tasks and processes in a timely manner (e.g., completing compliance training, Timesheets, etc.).
- Perform additional adhoc tasks as directed.
Experience required:
- 13 years of presentation design experience
Skills and Attributes:

English fluency:Solid command of the English language, both written and verbal, is essential to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members and clients.

Attention to detail:Meticulous and thorough approach to work, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to spot and correct errors, inconsistencies, and inaccuracies in materials.

Receptiveness:Willingness to take on diverse tasks with different instructions, and to learn, adjust and improve work using feedback provided from colleagues and clients.

Ownership:Accountability to work with some guidance on assigned tasks, understanding, and clarifying instructions to deliver high-quality work and meet deadlines.

Design Degree:A bachelor's degree or equivalent in design or a related field, as well as a personal portfolio to showcase previous design work, are beneficial.
