Responsibilities:


  • Reviews, drafts and negotiates agreements and transaction documents in compliance with applicable policies, legal and ethical standards, including in:
  • Responding, within established guidelines, to customers' RFP/RFQs, vendor qualification documents and contractual requests;
- drafting and negotiating with customers, use of appropriate contractual language to reflect the business interests and policies of the parties.

  • Takes the Contracts Lead role on complex contracts
  • Support Global Strategic Accounts led globally
  • Develops and communicates creative solutions and mitigation strategies to key negotiation points
  • Interfaces with customers, members of the legal team and other EMR stakeholders to bring deals to closure
  • Provides contractrelated guidance to Sales, Project Management and other stakeholders
  • Participates in the approval process to assist business owners in making informed decisions and secure appropriate approvals.
  • Acts as a key advisor to senior country management on the development of overall policies and longterm goals of the organization
  • Assists in the mentoring and training of Contracts Trainees & Contracts Negotiators
  • Research information on existing agreements and contractual programs, assisting with analysis and compiling data for reports
  • May communicate directly and regularly with government agencies
  • Supports and possibly supervise enforcement of Emerson's compliance programs such as due diligence of intermediaries and/or International Trade Compliance requirements
  • Degree/ Diploma in Law, preferably with compliance background.
  • Knowledgeable in contract law and Principles. Understands commercial provisions and concepts such as warranty, insurance, liquidated damages/penalties, payment and freight terms, documentary credits and bank guarantees/sureties

Experience:


  • Minimum 5 years work experience in a contractsrelated role, preferably in a related industry
  • Strong business acumen
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision with attention to details
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and to multitask under tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Action oriented with strong focus in driving processes and implementation
