Job Description:
Inspect, troubleshoot and repair all plant mechanical systems as directed by the maintenance manager.

Make periodic inspections of plant equipment and report its condition to the supervisor for further evaluation.
Regularly communicate interdepartmentally on the status of jobs, projected completion time, and the need (if any) for assistance.
Perform basic equipment rigging with supervision.
Safely operate powered industrial vehicles.
Perform basic mechanical maintenance functions and basic mechanical fabrication functions as needed.
Skills in electrical works will be an added advantage.
Regularly respond to callins (nights, weekends, and holidays) for emergency mechanical equipment repair. This involves a greaterthanusual level of responsibility to bring the problem to resolution either by completing the repair or identifying and communicating with those in a position to do so.
Act as an mechanical vendor liaison. Coordinate inspection and repair schedules, ensure parts availability, confirm the accuracy of bills of labor and materials, etc.
Given a specific area the technician should also be aware of replacement part status and notify the maintenance planner/maintenance engineer of problem areas.
Use of SAP Plant Maintenance module to query for open emergency and planned mechanical maintenance jobs and to accurately and completely document work effort and job status.
Assist the team with ISO check sheets & documentation filing.
To assist Maintenance supervisor & Planner with job prioritization, site coordination and execution
Responsible for carrying out all walk by inspections or specifics inspections (PM2) as per the defined schedule
To report any abnormal findings back into SAP, execute and technically complete (TECO) in the system.
To oversee spare parts in his/her area of responsibility and ensure safety stocks are being observed.
