Safety Supervisor (Dosh Yellow Book) - Kulim/Penang, Malaysia


Location:
Kulim, Kedah or Penang (depending on company location)

Duration :
half year to one year contract.


About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Supervisor to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment at our construction site.

As a Dosh Yellow Book holder, you will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing safety regulations on-site.


Responsibilities:

• Conduct safety inductions and toolbox meetings for workers before work commences.
• Perform regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure safe work practices are followed.
• Maintain daily safety checklists and ensure proper documentation of all safety activities.
• Coordinate and monitor the safety compliance of subcontractors onsite.
• Investigate accidents and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Promote a positive safety culture by encouraging safe work habits among all personnel.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are in proper working order and meet safety standards.
• Maintain uptodate knowledge of relevant safety regulations, including the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) regulations and the Factories and Machinery Act (FMA) 196
• Assist in preparing and maintaining the Safety and Health (S&H) operation manual as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Safety Officer or supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Possession of a valid Dosh Yellow Book certificate.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Site Safety Supervisor in the construction industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with workers from various backgrounds.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and enforce safety procedures.

Salary:
RM3, RM5,500.00 per month


Ability to commute/relocate:

• Kulim: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

• Site Safety Supervisor in the construction industry: 2 years (required)

License/Certification:

• Dosh Yellow Book certificate (required)
