The Network Manager is accountable for the availability, performance, design, implementation, and maintenance of the network services across Johnson Matthey globally.

Your accountabilities:

  • Successfully manage a global team of network SME's (EMEA and APAC) supporting, administering and maintaining LAN, WLAN, WAN, data centre networks as well as network security systems including firewalls, network access control, network security systems. Also manage resource availability to support projects and business as usual.
  • Own the technical aspect of the network ensuring it is patched/in support and monitored. Ownership of all network technologies, the roadmap for the Network services and oversee the design, setup and configuration enterprise LAN switching and wireless environments to ensure safe and smooth network operation in line with approved standards.
  • Oversee and manage the network budget and support the Senior End User and Network manager with managing forecasting and tracking of costs.
  • Vendor/supplier management own and manage all network supplier relationships as well any maintenance contracts.
  • Act as an escalation point for any major incidents out of hours and work flexible working hours to support a global, multitime zone customer base.
  • Leadership and coaching provide technical coaching and leadership to team members as the SME in the team, encourage a shift left mentality and support the team to ensure successful delivery of network services.

Requirements for the role:

  • Experience leading day to day network team operations in a large complex corporate network estate with OT environments and managing remote and local technical teams.
  • Experience defining business requirements, architecting network solutions and successfully sponsoring network projects.
  • Proven experience in maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting LANs, WLAN, Firewalls (ASA and Firepower).
  • Excellent knowledge of Cisco networking environments, QoS, spanningtree, VSS, VPC in Cisco environments, OSPF, EIGRP, SD-WAN, ISE, ACI/MSO, Stealthwatch and Algosec.
  • Proven experience managing third party providers to deliver network services.
  • Qualifications: Cisco CCNP or equivalent/similar qualification and
    ITIL.
