Roles and Responsibilities of Project Officer

Duties:

Coordinate and execute project activities, including supporting the Research, Academy, Strategic Alliance, Branding & Marketing and Event committee.
Monitor progress of the project by drafting workplans and monitoring activities.
Support in the preparation of the required periodic progress reports on the status of activities.
Assist in the programming and control of resources of the project, prepare budget estimates and expenditure forecasts by analysing and monitoring expenditure as compared to planned activities and making recommendations for remedial action. Identify problems, propose solutions and actions.
Supervise the work of the project's external collaborators and partners.
Organize meetings of the for the committee chair and other relevant workshops and events with key project partners.
Participate in conferences, seminars, workshops, training sessions and meetings as required by association.
Perform other duties as may be assigned by the President and EXCO.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

University degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) preferably in sustainability, environment science or business related.
Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a university degree

Experience:

At least two years of professional experience in the area of project management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
Work experience with the government, social partners, civil society and other stakeholders will be great advantage.
A team player, agile and passionate about Sustainability.
Proficient in the languages of Malaysia and excellent command and knowledge of English. Knowledge of other relevant languages and dialect is an advantage.
