Aiman Haziq

As a recent graduate with a Bachelor in Plantation Management and Technology, I am excited to begin my career and apply the skills and knowledge I have acquired to make a meaningful impact in the agriculture/ plantation industry.

Throughout my academic career, I have gained experience in plantation crops, nursery management, plantation operation, pest and disease management and crop science. Additionally, I have undergoes the internship at Taitak Estate, Kota TInggi and Jabatan Pertanian Johor. Plus, I also involved in a lot of extracurricular activities such as organizing the industrial talk, became a committee in international agriculture innovation competition, committee in several academic and non-academic club and assisting in programs that organized by student council/ MPP. This have prepared me to work collaboratively, think creatively, and tackle complex problems.

I am passionate about plantation operational sustainability and mechanization, and I am eager to join a team that shares my dedication to create a sustainable agriculture prospect especially in oil palm sector. I am confident that my skills, work ethic, and positive attitude will make me a valuable asset to any organization. 

My internship at the Johor Department of Agriculture (Jabatan Pertanian Johor) broadened my perspective on the agricultural sector by exposing me to the realm of government-driven agricultural initiatives and policies. Working with a team of dedicated professionals, I contributed to various projects aimed at improving the overall agricultural landscape in the Johor region.

My responsibilities at the department included conducting field assessments, collecting data on soil sample, and assisting in the organization of agricultural training programs for local farmers such as MyGAP courses and fertigation programme. Through these experiences, I gained insights into the critical role that government agencies play in supporting and advancing the agricultural industry.

During my internship at Taitak Estate in Kota Tinggi, I had the invaluable opportunity to immerse myself in the practical aspects of plantation management. Taitak Estate, with its sprawling acres of agricultural land, provided me with hands-on experience in various facets of plantation operations. I was actively involved in daily tasks such as planting, cultivating, and maintaining oil palm crop. 

I also had the opportunity to participate in data collection and analysis such as rainfall intensity, which gave me insights into crop performance and the implementation of optimized farming strategies. Additionally, I learned about pest and disease management, which is crucial for ensuring healthy and productive plantations. This experience at Taitak Estate allowed me to develop problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail in addressing agricultural challenges.

I hold a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Plantation Technology and Management, which has equipped me with in-depth knowledge and specialized skills in the field of plantation management. Additionally, I have earned a Diploma in Planting Industry Management, providing me with a solid foundation of essential skills and knowledge relevant to the planting and agricultural sectors. These qualifications reflect my strong educational background in agriculture, plantation management, and related technologies, setting the stage for a promising career in this field.
