Experience
I am a senior ICT officer with over 20 years of experience in higher education and government sectors. Starting as an IT Officer at the Ministry of Education, I have served in various strategic roles at Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) and Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), including Director of Computing and Informatics and Director of Strategic Planning. My expertise includes integrated information system development, academic data analytics, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and strategic ICT planning. I have contributed at the national level as the Chairman of Public Universities ICT Directors Council (MAPITA) and as a subject matter expert (SME) in various committees under the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and PTPTN. Key projects include the UMK Academic Dashboard, UMP ICT Strategic Plan, and enterprise-wide academic and research information systems.
Education
I began my higher education with a Foundation in Science at the University of Malaya in 1998, followed by a Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours), which I completed in 2003. In recognition of my expertise and contributions to the ICT field, I was certified as a Graduate Technologist and subsequently a Professional Technologist by the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT) in 2018.
