About Alfred Balare:

I am a graduate from University of Science Malaysia awarded a Bachelor of Management (Honours) and my last position was as SPS Service Coordinator and Assistant Warehouse Manager at TechnipFMC.

Experienced in oil and gas Drilling and Completion in Logistics and Warehousing and Manufacturing warehousing for more than 20 years. Experience

April 2022 – Present
Subsea Production System Services Coordinator – TechnipFMC, Nusajaya, Malaysia.
Main Functions:
Single point of contact between Customer and TechnipFMC’s Subsea Services Organisation for day to day operational needs (75% internal focus, 25% external customer focus).
My Role:
· Review Cost, Time & resource (CTR) quotes required to meet customer demands
· Effective planning and management of all onshore and offshore operations related activities
· To drive review execution performance and capture lessons learned, as required
· Receives Purchase Orders and verifies that they are compliant with the relevant TechnipFMC CTR or customer contracts
· Ensure that PO Requirements are transferred to TechnipFMC Services Order and Sales Orders
· Promotes FMC subsea capabilities, services, and products for management of customer’s assets throughout the Life of the Asset.
· Facilitates the Operational Readiness Reviews according to the LWI which includes, equipment readiness, spares requirements, personnel, competency required and documentation.
         
· Focuses on providing solutions that maximize value to customers whilst ensuring TechnipFMC’s commercial targets are met.
· Visibly show commitment to HSE & Quality through participation in safety and quality initiatives.

Assistant Warehouse Manager– TechnipFMC, Nusajaya/Labuan, Malaysia.
Main Functions:
The main function is to ensure the cost effective and timely receipt, storage, retrieval, and dispatch of goods from the Warehouse and Logistic Principal Accountabilities
My Role:
• Supports in the development of the warehouse and logistic yearly plan and budget • Monitors all aspects of the warehouse day-to-day operations to maximize the efficiency, reliability, security, timeliness, and cost effectiveness of the warehousing activities • Ensures the efficient and economical utilization of the warehousing facilities and equipment • Identify, evaluate, and capitalize on opportunities to reduce costs and enhance security and performance by optimizing warehouse’s layout, space utilization, goods preservation monitoring and regularly review processes • Oversee overall inventory management, optimization, productivity, accuracy, and loss prevention programs, and ensures that policies and procedures for inventory and inventory movement control are complied with • Directly manages all warehouse staff to meet warehouse targets (cost, data accuracy and timeliness, safety, etc.) and to ensure appropriate support to internal and external customers • Maintains accurate, up-to-date stock records and ensures a timely response to enquiries (for example on inventory levels) is provided to internal users • Ensure timely shipment to meet OTD and to ensure smooth coordination of load out and backload activities • Provides support for the professional development of warehouse staff • Promotes and disseminates a positive health and safety culture and ensures the health, safety and welfare of self and others • Identifies any Health, Safety or Environmental risks and recommends and implements measures and solutions to mitigate these risks • Is responsible for the development, performance appraisal and succession planning of all direct and indirect reports • Identifies and tracks KPIs for his function, and devises plans and initiatives for operational improvements

Material Controls and Coordination
Plans, conducts, control and coordinates all material handling process within assignment, make sure implementation of HSE practices, ensures effective communication with functional teams and higher management.
My Role:
● Lead a Material and Logistic staff and manage the warehouse independently to achieve the target and maintains proper inventory records.
● Determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records
● Inspect all material, spares, upon receipt in Labuan and report any damage or discrepancies
verified
● Compilation and maintenance of accurate material records, for all equipment, spares, etc received
in SAP
 
● Preparation of cargo to be shipped to the well site (Rig) or to other TechnipFMC location,
● Label and identify all material received in Labuan.
● Set-Up and maintain suitable storage for all material received in Labuan.
● Preparation of all Shipping and Transportation documents, including shipping proforma’s (to other
TechnipFMC locations) and Material Movement tickets (to well site). Filing of same
● Set up and maintenance of filing system for transport documents associated with material
backloads from well site.
● Arrange call-off of Local 3rd Party Inspector to carry out inspection and reported per TechnipFMC
provided rework guidelines. Further, arrange transmittal of 3rd Party report for disposition and
decision regard local Labuan rework or other TechnipFMC location rework
● Liaise with Freight Forwarders and Transport Companies to ensure goods are shipped timely and
in a cost effective manner
● Responsible for customers' shipment and logistics matters to ensure orders are delivered on time.

Material Controls and Coordination
Plans, conducts, controls and coordinates all material handling processes within assignment, makes sure implementation of HSE practices, ensures effective communication with functional teams and higher management.
My Role:
● Main tasks include organizing, monitoring and executing receiving, inspection, storage and withdrawal and assets disposal functions for stock and non-stock materials (including surplus and repaired equipment) and register in MIPS system.
● Upon receiving a Job Card from a Fabrication shop or Offshore operation, generate a Picking List and prepare for transfer piping and structural raw material to fabrication shop and load out to offshore.
● To coordinate and communicate with Turnaround/Project Engineer and Offshore Material Lead on materials planned to be loaded out.
● Work closely with the Transport and Logistic coordinator on the logistic & operation activity to ensure proper integration on material requirement and scheduling of material shipment so that it can be delivered to location on time.
● To ensure that materials loaded out are in accordance with the Instruction to Load Out (ILO) and as per required delivery time.
● To coordinate with SKSW CE and Offshore Coordinator on materials planned to be loaded out or shut-out including schedule for Offshore Resources Schedule (ORS)
● To verify materials received at East Warehouse against a picking list.
● As an Offshore Material Coordinator;
● - To carry out checking and maintain records on incoming and outgoing materials
● - To monitor material availability onboard to ensure alignment with the plan requirements and highlight the
outstanding and abnormality immediately.

material availability prior to load out.

Material Coordination and control
Main tasks are taking in charge of warehouse/Spare Parts management and daily operations and Outages.
My Role:
● Organize, implement and direct warehouse operations and activities, segregation of the LTSA parts, preparation of relevant parts list for incoming inspections referring to the SPIR and organize a proper lay down area for removed parts from site.

Job also covers raising and tracking NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) & OSD (Overage Shortage Damage Reports) in a timely manner, Identifying materials for storage and assigning location in warehouse.
