Amina Ahmad

My name is Amina Ahmad Goronyo, and I am from Nigeria. Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources Management, I have consistently excelled academically, evidenced by my receipt of the Dean's Award throughout my tenure at the university.  

Communication lies at the heart of my capabilities, a trait honed through my role as the eldest sibling in my family. This position has instilled in me the ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, thereby fostering strong leadership qualities within me. During my time at AIU, I have cultivated robust teamwork skills, evident through my active participation in various extracurricular activities. Notably, I have served as the Vice President of the AIU Alquran and Islamic Club, as well as the Deputy Director of the Health Department within the AIU Nigerian Student Community. Additionally, my involvement as a representative for the Sokoto State Zakat and Waqf Commission underscores my commitment to service and leadership. Beyond my academic pursuits, I possess a passion for graphic design—a hobby that complements my analytical nature and allows for creative expression.

I am a student but throughout my academic journey in Human Resources Management, I have actively engaged in coursework and projects that have honed my understanding of HR principles and practices. These experiences have equipped me with valuable skills in areas such as talent acquisition, employee relations, and organizational development. Additionally, my involvement in extracurricular activities and volunteer work has further strengthened my interpersonal and leadership abilities.While my professional experience may be limited, my passion for the field of human resources and my dedication to continuous learning drive me to seize every opportunity for growth. I am eager to apply my academic knowledge and skills in a real-world setting, contribute to a dynamic team, and gain hands- on experience that will accelerate my career in HR.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, with an expected graduation date of [November,2024]. My academic journey has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of human resources principles and practices, preparing me for a dynamic career in this field.
Throughout my studies, I have engaged in a diverse range of coursework, including Recruitment and Selection, Human resources development, Operational management, Organizational behavior, Strategic Human Resources Management, HR planning etc. These courses have not only provided me with a strong theoretical foundation but have also challenged me to apply these concepts in practical scenarios through case studies and group projects.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I have consistently maintained a high level of commitment to my studies, earning a 3.41 GCPA. I believe in the importance of academic excellence as a reflection of my dedication to mastering the knowledge and skills necessary for success in human resources.
My educational experiences have instilled in me a passion for HR and a desire to contribute to the field by applying my learning in a real‐world setting.
