Chia Min Wei

An aspiring undergraduate student majoring in Nutrition and Community Health with Honors at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), who is passionate about nutrition and health promotion to create a healthier and happier community. 

In my pursuit of nutrition degree, I’ve built a solid foundation in nutrition counselling, nutritional sciences, and field data collection. My experience in conducting nutrition and health promotion programs for diverse communities has sharpened my leadership and communication skills in delivering nutrition knowledge in an easily understandable manner. I have demonstrated strong skills in partnership building and problem-solving through my role as the stakeholder engagement and partnership lead in a health promotion program, where I successfully cultivated partnerships with external organizations to secure financial support and in-kind sponsorships. 

In addition to contributing my effort to nutrition, I enjoy creating exquisite content on social media platforms, primarily on Instagram and XiaoHongShu. Through these channels, I utilise my skills in visual storytelling and creative writing to share my passions and personal experiences, fostering connection with my audience.

I am currently open to exploring internship opportunities in healthcare nutrition to contribute to community nutrition and explore innovative ways to improve the health and well-being of the community.

• Honed my knowledge on maternal and child nutrition. 
• Explored interventions to improve the nutritional status of both maternal and child populations and prevent nutritional issues such as stunting and double burden malnutrition.
• Gained valuable learning experience in an international context by collaborating with instructors and peers from different countries, exchanging ideas aimed at improving nutritional well-being.
