En Ming Choo

A Bachelor degree holder in Bachelor of Science (Industrial Statistics) with Honours from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) and currently working as a business analyst in one of the top banks in Malaysia. With my strong passion in Mathematics and Statistics, I hope to contribute by sharing my knowledge to the students to help them have a better understanding in their academic.

Currently working as a Business Analyst in Business and Corporate Banking in Hong Leong Bank Berhad where I am involved in:

• designer new and enhancing process flows to streamline new and existing processes
• managing monthly loan and fixed deposit delinquency and defects report to ensure delinquency rate and defects rate does not exceed threshold
• identifying potential SME clients and analysing key clients to understand their business and provide customised solutions according to their needs

In addition, I had my internship in Risk Management Division in Public Bank Berhad in which I was responsible in:

• monitoring the risk position of all trading activities
• analysing the mark-to-market movement of investment portfolios
• reviewing the price capped on share margin financing
• assessing the interest rate mismatch gap
• assessing the intraday liquidity

With my background in Statistics, I am able to perform well in the subjects as follows:

• calculus
• linear algebra
• probability and statistics
• programming in C++, Python, R and SQL
• data analysis
• forecasting

Besides, I was also awarded as the best scorer in Mathematics during my high school with a strong academic performance in both Mathematics and Additional Mathematics.
