About Keshlitha Selvi:

I keen to begin a career in Biomedical science. I am studying for Biomedical Science at MAHSA University and graduated in Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology. Looking a position in scientific setting where I can utilize and sustain any strong problem solving, study findings, testing facility and oral communication skills along with healthcare training.

Experience

Internship Student

Hospital Kajang - July 2022 to October 2022

I have done my internship at Hospital Kajang twice in the year of January 2018 to May 2018. The latest clinical practice on July 2022 to October 2022. There are duties listed that Ive practiced during internship as below :

  • Following staff oversight, urine samples are examined physically, chemically and microscopically.
  • sorting and checking specimens.
  • Proficient in microscopic techniques and slides preparation including histology and microorganisms slides.
  • Haematology: Processed samples through a haematology analyser, make films and screen films alongside a haematology scientist.
  • Helping with laboratory tasks and carrying tests under guidance of experienced laboratory experts.
  • Handed out the SOP required urine, retic count tests and full blood counts thru automated machines.
  • undertook routine automated osmolality tests in biochemistry.

Internship Student

  • Clinipathology Klang - June 2017 to December 2017
  • Specimen Reception: Undertook the routine receival of samples and performed all identification checks and barcoding.
  • Histology: watched and performed cut up and embedding, sectioning and staining of tissues samples.
  • Undertook routine biochemistry analysis using an automated biochemistry analysers
  • Helping with laboratory tasks and carrying tests under guidance of experienced laboratory experts such as making blood films, carry out gram staining and coiling method for AFB staining.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science (HONS)

MAHSA University - October 2020 to September 2023.

Core courses : Human physiology, Microbiology with Lab, General Pathology and Biochemistry.

 

Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology

NILAI University - March 2016 to October 2019

Graduated with Distinction 

Core courses : Hematology, Blood bank, Urinalysis, Cytology, Biochemistry Microbiology and Immunology.
