MD ATIKUL ISLAM

My name is Md Atikul Islam. I am from Bangladesh. I am married and have a son. I have been working in Malaysia since 2007. Over the years I have gained a lot of culinary experience in Indian, Malay and Thai food and supervisory skill in food service. Prior to my current position, I also had some culinary experience at a Chinese restaurant. My past experience has also convinced my current employer to appoint me as a trainer and supervisor to the junior cooks and kitchen helpers. I also have good communication skill as I liaised well with my superiors and subordinates alike. I also sometimes help the waiters when the need arises. 

2008 - 2014
Assistant cook at a Chinese restaurant. I was also assigned to carry out overall kitchen and restaurant duties such as waiting tables and attending cash register

2014 - present
Cook at an Indian/Malay/Thai restaurant. Apart from cooking Indian food like roti, thosai, chapati, chicken & beef curry and chicken, beef & mutton soup, I also have culinary skill in Malay cuisine such as Malay fried rice and Malay fried noodles and Thai cuisine such as Tom Yam and Paprik. I am also assigned in preparing hot and cold beverages, waiting tables, operating cash register and training new staff.
