About MY Rosli:
l have 37 years experience in the academic line. I obtained my first degree from NCSU, USA, while my master and PhD from University of Wales, UK. Apart from teaching, l am also active in doing research and supervision. I have secured a total of approximately RM33 mil worth of research grants (approx. USD 7 mil). l was the dean of Chemical and Natural Resources Engineering for 4 years. l was the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation) for 5 years, and the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and International) for 3 years.
Experience
l led the faculty of Chemical and Natural Resources Engineering, UMP in 2006. I managed to transform the young faculty into a respected and successful faculty in the university within a short period of time. I believe the phrase of ‘leading thru example’. As dean, l was also very active in supervising postgraduate students and leading a handful of research grants. During my term as the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation), l inculcated a healthy culture and ambient of research by creating many opportunities for the staffs and students to access suitable grants and other related activities to promote publication, product invention/innovation. On the other hand, during my term as Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and International), many new programs and international dual degree programs were initiated.
