About Nasrul Hisham bin Bakar:

I am currently an Operations Geologist with EnQuest Malaysia. My contract with EnQuest Malaysia
will expire at the end of 2022 coinciding with the concluding of the company 2022 Seligi field
horizontal drilling development program. I would be available for your consideration beginning of
January 2023.
I am an experienced geologist (18-years’ experience) with extensive experience in Operations
Geology. I have additional experience in Production Surveillance, Petrophysical, G&G analysis, and
data management. Over the years, I have been trained by a Major O&G Company (Total Energies),
O&G Independent Companies (Lundin, International Petroleum Corp, EnQuest), and a global O&G
Service Company (SLB).
I have had extensive experience in exploration and development drilling as an Operations Geologist
while working with Total Energies, Lundin, International Petroleum Corporation, and EnQuest.
These drillings included various well types such as HPHT (using MPD), Deep Water, deviated,
horizontal wells that require geo-steering and others. I have experience in drilling wells in Malaysia
(offshore Sabah, Sarawak, and Terengganu) and Indonesia (offshore Balikpapan).
My additional experience in EnQuest Production Enhancement / Idle Well Restoration program gives

added dimension in reservoir management and field development. My experience in the pre-
drilling stage including well planning, contract negotiations, pre-drill documentation and others.

During drilling, I am the focal between the office and the various wellsite geological services
contractors such as Wellsite Geologist, LWD, Wireline, Mudlogging, and etc. At the office, I am also
the focal between the Subsurface Team and other groups (Drilling, Completions, Production
Technology, and management). Post-drill I am also responsible for the Post-Drill Reports (PDR), data
QC and deliverables to the team, partners and regulators. My responsibility includes ensuring the
company’s adherence to the Malaysian Petroleum Management’s(regulator) PETRONAS Procedures
and Guidelines for Upstream Activities (PPGUA). This guideline covers HSE, pre-drill document,
during-drilling document, post-drill document, data, sample and many others.

Experience

Experience
Operations Geologist for EnQuest Petroleum Production Malaysia Ltd: June
2019 – Present
Current position as an Operations Geologist (office based) for the Seligi PM8
drilling campaign. Development drilling (deviated and horizontal) in a mature
field. Performed the role as a Well Site Geologist (offshore) during critical
acquisition activity such as MDT, GeoTap and etc.
Also was part of the Seligi field Surveillance Team as the PE/IWR Coordinator. I
worked closely with the Reservoir Engineers, Production Technologists and
Wells Engineers. A key member in planning, coordinating, and executing the
EnQuest Seligi Production Enhancement (PE) and Idle Well Restoration (IWR)
program. Integrated various reservoir surveillance data to achieve reservoir
management objectives.

Highlights:
• Focal person for EnQuest's well planning and execution of Seligi
development drilling. The focal between EnQuest and its partner,
PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd. As well as between EnQuest and the regulator,
PETRONAS.
• Handled third party contractors such as mudlogging, LWD, Wireline
companies and the associated personnel and contractual matters.
• Supervised/monitor on the rig and from office various data acquisition jobs
such as LWD, GeoTap, USIT-CBL-VDL, and others. Attended daily drilling
operations meeting. Ensured that pre-drill documents & drilling program
were followed and respected. This included QC of all geological well site
data and reports
• Involved in various pre & post-drilling documents such as SOR, Well
Proposal, Geological Final Well Report, Pre-Drill Data Package (PDDP),
author of Geological Operations Plan, Post Drill Reports (PDR) and others.
• Presented geology aspects at the Drill Well on Paper (DWOP) for the Jambu
and Gedabu development wells. Ensured subsurface objectives and risks
were well understood by the stake holders. Ensured the wells were planned
and executed with safety as management priority.
• Software Utilization: Petrel for geology, drilling, and surveillance activities;
GeoNet by IDS for daily geological reporting; GEOLite by Geologix for
strip/composite logs generation.
• Maintained geological database. The database is regularly updated with
new drilling data such as well logs, mud gas, cuttings, well tops, directional
survey and others.

• Part of the Seligi field Surveillance team involved in planning and execution
in order to obtain surveillance data such as Temperature Logs, SGS Pressure
data and others. Interpret the surveillance data to gain information such as
crossflow occurrence identification, fluid contact identification and others.
• Used the interpreted surveillance data to achieve the reservoir management
objectives. This included identifying and prioritizing opportunities (both at
the reservoir and well level) to maximize the economic oil production.
• Involved in the planning and execution of crossflow isolation of Seligi wells.

Operations & New Venture Geologist for International Petroleum Corp.
Malaysia BV (formerly known as Lundin Malaysia BV): 2014 – 2018
Performed the role of Operations Geologist involved in the well preparation,
drilling execution and various post-drill studies, interpretation, and close out
reports. Drilled 15 horizontal development wells (requiring geosteering), 7
exploration wells & 1 appraisal well. Part of the team that evaluated the third
party contactor’s Pore Pressure Prediction for the exploration wells.
I was also involved in the role of Business Development / New Venture. I led
IPC’s participation in PETRONAS Exploration Bidding Round and I attended the
data room to evaluate available blocks. I also evaluated and proposed various
opportunities for IPC’s business growth.
Highlights:
• Lead and supervised Bertam well path deviation post mortem project. The
final horizontal well path of several critical Bertam wells were not coherent
with the reservoir simulation, geology (prognosed vs actual well tops),
geophysical, and production data. The discrepancy of the well path with the
other types of data was serious enough that a third-party deviation expert
company was engaged.
• Focal person for IPC's well planning and execution (representative from G&G
team) with experience in both horizontal and deviated wells. Drilled 15
development wells, 7 exploration wells & 1 appraisal well. The focal
between subsurface/exploration and drilling department. The focal
between IPC and its partner, PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd. As well as
between IPC and the regulator, PETRONAS.
• During drilling campaign, handled third party contractors such as
mudlogging, LWD, Wireline companies and the associated personnel and
contractual matters.
• Supervised/monitor from office various data acquisition jobs such as
GeoTap, MDT, Sidewall Coring, Conventional Coring, VSP, Checkshot and
others. Geosteering with the Azimuthal Deep Resistivity tool and At-bit-GR,
Density Image and others.

• Involved in various pre & post-drilling documents such as SOR, Well
Proposal, Geological Final Well Report and others.
• Conduct exploration team's technical studies requirement. Contract owner
for a list of exploration contracts in IPC.
• Involved in the formulation of Work Program & Budget (WPB) for
exploration related works
• Conduct compliance assurance in tasks related to WPB submission, PPGUA
and JOA requirement.
• Lead integrated G&G studies (prospect level) and conduct resource
assessment related evaluation. Led IPC’s participation in PETRONAS
Exploration Bidding Round 2018 and attended the data room to evaluate
available blocks.
• Conduct regional evaluation for both prospect maturation and business
development (opportunity evaluation).
• Focal person for IPC's prospects & leads inventory portfolio and ARPR
reporting
• Investigated the possibility of tilted OWC in the Bertam field. I had to utilize
and synthesize various types of data across different disciplines. The data
include pressure data, well log analysis, geological & geophysical data, Pc
Curve – Height above FWL, Kr – related to rock quality, analogue fields,
relevant published papers and others, in order to formulate a coherent
theory on this subject
