As a Chemical Engineer I possess strong leadership, analytical, communication and business skills. The environmentalist in me care for the environment and tend to work towards a sustainable future where everyone gets to enjoy the luxury of life with automation in manufacturing, pollution control, better air quality, and clean water. In addition to human lives, a balanced ecosystem is important to our well-being, where we take responsibility into our own hands. I believe that in this fast pace of changing technology continuous improvement is crucial in every sector of an industry, and long-term planning in accordance with the changes of IR 4.0 is what going to keep businesses striving.

In modern-day engineering with the inclusion of AI in production and constant changes (witnessed during the COVID - 19 pandemic), I believe that it is very important to blend technology with effective business communication. In addition, understanding diverse cultures is also important to improve and educate both the buyer and consumer about the importance of high quality, sustainability, low cost and implementation of lean in manufacturing. Chemical engineers tend to vision the world 30 years ahead of their time to ensure both the future and present benefit out of our innovations, and clean energy.

I have been a Quality Production In-Training Engineer where I:

• Oversaw production and provided solutions for sustainable and ecofriendly printing dyes, Perform engineering reviews on vendor documentation.
• Reduced harmful waste emissions by 40% integrating green dyes and recyclable screen printing.
• Presented project work of manufacturing clothing out of recycled plastic (PET) bottles, statistically reduced plastic pollution by 70% in Malaysia.

I have been a Manufacturing (R&D) Engineer Manufacturing (R&D) Engineer at Top Glove.

During my training program I got hands on experience on the following tasks:

1. Troubleshooting and problem solving: quality improvement, odour removal, alcohol/hand sanitizer resistance, main oven heat effects on quality, speed effects and endurance strength of rubber and nitrile gloves.

2. OMT (Overall Migration Tests) to check if there are any residual chemicals that can be harmful after the production of the gloves, such as after leaching process some chemicals still stay on the surface causing standards failure that varies through out countries like Germany, America, Japan (JETRO Test) and France.

3. TSC (Total Solid Content) are performed to check the solid content such as lumps or any impurities and balancing the amount of latex and water added into the coagulation tank which might be the cause of certain lumps.

4. Troubleshooting alcohol presence on surface of gloves that can cause it to rupture and swell abnormally. Troubleshooting include variation of formulations used to make the surface more endurable to alcohol.

5. Chemical and Heat stability tests to ensure the impurities are below 1% to create a top standard, high quality glove.

6. Tensile tests for various standards such as CW, ENW/ENLW, USEW, USAW using standards like ASTM,EN, JIS mainly. Using Universal Testing Machine SIRIUS software to ensure the right strength and elongation in the quality. Troubleshooting is done through various chemicals like ZnO to make it softer and ZDEC/ZDBC adding stiffness.

7. Training related to quality management using the ISO 13458: 2016 for medical devices ensuring the product manufactured for medical use meets the customer as well as the applicable regulatory requirements.

- Sustainability starts from home, where we tackle issues that are related to climate change. environmental sustainability, waste management, construction material used in buildings, and water management.

- SDSN is guided by a Leadership Council, which brings together global sustainable development leaders from all regions and all sectors, including civil society, public, and private sectors.
