Nithiyaa Perumal

I'm a researcher in the field of natural products related to antidiabetes for the past 7 years. I've obtained a PhD in the field of Plant and Animal Physiology from UPM (2021). Throughout my postgraduate years, I have gained knowledge and experience handling HPLC, conducting in vivo toxicology and antidiabetic studies on rats, and various in vitro antidiabetic assays which include cell culture techniques. 

I have a keen interest in research and development in the field of natural products, drug discovery, and pharmaceutical industry. 

Here are my working experiences:

1. Maintaining and Handling the HPLC instrument, preparing SOP and method validation for HPLC analysis. 
2. Maintaining cell cultures, conduct cell-based in vitro assays.
3. Conduct in vivo toxicology and antidiabetic studies on a diabetic-induced rat model.
4. Carry out hot Soxhlet extraction and room temperature extraction of plant samples.
5. Writing and publishing journal articles
6. Participate in local or international conferences to present scientific findings.
7. Conduct statistical analysis using SPSS
