INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE IN R3KA RESOURCES
Designing Honey Harvesting System Project
• Designed and fabricated a prototype honey pump extraction device using 3D printing that meets the
necessary requirements for a sustainable high-quality honey production system.
• Successfully researched on the existing product for honey pump extraction devices
• Sketched the design concept of the device from the scratch and selected the best design by using
Pugh matrix
• Used SOLIDWORKS to create CAD drawing for each part of the device and performed 3D modelling
such as detailed drawing for each part and assembly, exploded view and 3D rendering
• Developed product costing by creating bill of materials (BOM) in order to determine the final product
costing
• Learned on how to operate 3D printer and how to setup the parameter in the slicer software Ultimaker
Cura in order to produce high quality 3D printed object.
• Successfully fabricated the prototype of the honey pump extraction device by using Creality Ender 3
3D printer
