My First Job: SONY Penang, Malaysia
Join R&D team to set up design activities locally as Electrical Design Engineer.  Pattern traces of Printed Wire Board have been drawn on tracing paper and transferred to film after completion. Responsibility on troubleshooting PWB performance to fulfil function, quality requirements and safety requirements of products.  Various products such as Mini Compo, Tape Walkman and remote controllers have been designed. During product development, I had the opportunity to visit SONY design center in Japan, OEM factory and suppliers in China.
Within 19 years, I was promoted to Departmental Head, Project Leader and Senior Assistant Manager.

Career Expansion 1: Senior Supplier Quality Engineer
With job rotation opportunity, transferred to Part Quality Assurance Department as Senior Supplier Quality Engineer. Within 2.5 years, managed to gemba (audit on the spot during production) suppliers to reduce Line Defective Ratio by 50% for Wires Hardness and Printed Wire Board category.  At the same time, also certified as a SONY AQAS Part Quality Assurance Auditor.

Career Expansion 2: Departmental Head of Kit Business
Kit Business mainly focused on how to deliver parts combinations to Brazil in order to reduce the tax amount. Working with colleagues in SONY Brazil to get updated on custom requirements and provide technical support to introduce new products to production in Brazil.  Major contribution is to reduce the transportation cost after changing air shipment to sea shipment by advancing the parts readiness.
