Rachel Toh

I am a Monash University student who just completed Year 2 study and will be graduating at end of 2023 according to plan. My major course is a Bachelor of Computer Science in Data Science. I have been studying machine learning related content and also mastered coding skills in Python and Java, and I have trained and tested my knowledge and skills in previous working experience and several coding competitions. In one of my previous working experiences, I assisted in the research of a neural network model (e.g. CRNN) and have been applying my knowledge to help out in the research and development, not to mention that it was my very first experience exploring the machine learning field. My skill set matches the requirements laid out in the job description. In particular, my ability to learn fast and adapt quickly to an environment makes me a good fit for the role.

• Assist in research on deep learning networks and model structure (e.g. CRNN network, CTC decoder, ResNet) 
• Hands-on coding using python and docker for backend model deployments 
• Assist in research on ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition), which is one of the company's main products 
• Did data analysis and visualization for evaluation of models performance 
• Familiarize with Unix and Linux environments

During the 2 years of study in Monash University, I learned programming languages like python and java, and used them to familiarize with object oriented design concept. Besides, I also studied about data analytics and model using open source libraries like panda, numpy, matplotlib. Furthermore, I also understand SQL database and did operate in Oracle database.
