About Shahirah Saad:

Hi, my name is Shahirah (you can call me Shera for short). A Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons.) International Business holder with two years of experience as a research assistant who is planning to spread her wings in the world of market research. 

During my time as a research assistant, I was a part of 'Impact of COVID-19 on Tourism Economy and Crisis Management', 'Work Motivation Among Public Servants', and 'Smart City & Digital Inclusion' projects.

I was responsible to conduct literature searches and paper write-up, provide accurate English to Malay translations of the questionnaires, develop audio transcription, develop interview schedules for the Primary Researcher and potential subjects, prepare interview questions and questionnaire on 'Digital Inclusion & Smart City', prepare formal letter writing to be addressed to Ministries requesting authorization to conduct research in government agencies, prepare other articles, reports, and presentations, conducts field interviews as appropriate to the study (interviewed hotels' managers for research on the impact of COVID-19 on tourism economy). 

Through my involvement in student council and volunteer experiences when I was a student, I developed teamwork, communication, and leadership skill in order to communicate and work effectively in a team of diverse backgrounds. 

Hence, I hope I can be an asset to the market research team in an effort to propel society forward. 

Last but not least, as someone who is yet to possess the privilege of traveling around the world to learn about different cultures, I believe research allows me to travel virtually.
