3.United Parcel Service Singapore
Data Science Intern | 27 February, 2020 - 30 June, 2020
Developed forecasting models to perform near-term forecasting for daily express demand for two weeks period. ARX and Prophet approaches were selected to build suitable models with sample period covering from 2016 to 2019, for more than 100,000 data points.
Some important variables were produced using feature engineering to simulate time series data alteration process more precisely.
The results obtained from the predictive models were evaluated with the smallest Mean Absolute Error and Mean Absolute Percentage Error.
The research highlighted that Prophet model could produce decent results for data with holidays.
