As a recent graduate from Curtin University Malaysia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, I have completed a rewarding internship with Sarawak Energy Bhd under Health, Safety, and Environment Department. This experience enabled me to pick up valuable skills such as scheduled waste management and inventory checking in professional and fast-moving environment. GIS experience is gained by engaged in a final year project on developing a peat fire hazard rating assessment through satellite images for Miri. 

Meantime, I have balanced working a part-time job while pursuing my degree, where I learnt how to work under pressure and meet deadlines- while maintaining high standards of work quality. I am dedicated and highly motivated to build expertise in environmental engineering and am searching for a role that will help me with my goal.

I have completed a rewarding internship with Sarawak Energy Bhd under Health, Safety, and Environment Department. Opportunities are provided to be involved in several projects throughout the 3-months internship. The project types include scheduled waste management, mechanical and electrical inspections which provide a diverse working environment to experience real engineering world for the trainees. 

As an environmental engineering trainee, opportunities are given to be engaged in the environmental-related activities including scheduled waste inventory check, oily rags collection, drainage, and interceptor inspections as well as planning events such as beach cleaning and tree planting programs. Apart from that, it is realised that personal communication skill and teamwork play important roles in any project execution to form a stronger bond among the colleagues at the workplace. 

A recent graduate from Curtin University Malaysia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering who attained a course weighted average of 73.8 and upper second class honours. In addition, I have been engaged in a final year project by performing an independent research study focused on developing a peat fire hazard rating assessment for Curtin University Malaysia campus through satellite images for a duration of one year which equipped myself with knowledge and skill in geographical information system.
