About Todd Bechtold:
As an English Language teacher for the past 16 years in Singapore and Malaysia, I have gained a strong understanding of both the academic aspects of guiding students when acquiring and learning English, as well as, the cultural and community connections that are tied to education in Southeast Asia. I believe I would be a valuable asset with my understanding of day-to-day English language learning planning, my ability to build rapport and boost the confidence of the students I work with, and my extensive work as an invigilator and evaluator using the WIDA Modal English Assessment. Along with my direct experience in the classroom, I have built a solid academic foundation through my journey of gaining my advanced diploma in TESOL (in Singapore), followed by my recent completion of my Master’s in Education focusing on Teaching English Learners, and most recently my IB MYP Language Acquisition Certificate.
