Wei Feng Tan

I am a final year student at Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), pursuing Bachelors Degree of Manufacturing Engineering Technology (Pharmaceutical) with Hons.

I am having my industrial training at Novugen Pharma Sdn Bhd. from March 2023 to August 2023 for 6 months.

I am equipped with hard skills in handling laboratory tests as well as microbiological analysis which I obtained from subjects like Pharmaceutical Formulation Methods, Microbiology, and Analytical Techniques for Pharmaceutical Industry.

I also acquired lab skills in the formulation development such as wet granulation, dry granulation and tablet compression during my internship training as a Formulation Development Intern in Novugen Pharma Sdn Bhd.  

Throughout the years of my study, I was exposed to subjects like Pharmaceutical Formulation Methods, Introduction to GMP, Contamination Control & Clean Room, System Validation and Drug Delivery System. 

My Final Year Project entitled Prediction of Blood-Brain Barrier (BBB) by using In-Silico Machine Learning Approach focus on the prediction of BBB permeability of the small molecules. This simulation work required extension knowledges from Numerical Methods in model construction. I was also exposed to Data Mining Techniques by using Python and KNIME Analytics Platform in subject Data Mining which provide me further understanding in analysis and visualisation of the results in Machine Learning.
