Yong Liang Aw

I am a First Class Honours graduate in Industrial Biotechnology from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah, with a strong interest in starting my career as a Junior Embryologist. My academic background and internship experience in a regulated medical environment have equipped me with essential skills in aseptic techniques, laboratory procedures, and quality assurance. I am passionate about reproductive medicine and eager to contribute to a fertility team where I can support patients and grow under the guidance of experienced embryologists.

Completed a 6-month internship at B. Braun Medical Industries, where I:

• supported quality assurance and defect investigations in a regulated manufacturing environment
• gained hands-on experience in sample handling, aseptic techniques, data analysis, and documentation
• collaborated with cross-functional teams to support process improvements and maintain high standards of product quality and compliance. 
• familiarized myself with laboratory protocols, clinical-grade cleanliness, and systematic reporting — all highly relevant to a clinical laboratory setting

• Graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Industrial Biotechnology) with First Class Honours from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah. 
• Developed a strong foundation in cell and molecular biology, microbiology, genetics, and gene technology. 
• Completed a final year project focused on prebiotic analysis of mushroom spent, gaining experience in biological analysis, research methodology, and scientific reporting.
