    POSITION SUMMARY

    Purpose

    The Supervisor, Customer Master Data is responsible for the supervision and development of the Asia Customer Master Data Team, responsible for accurate and timely administration of customer master data, including pricing and contracts.

    Nature and Scope

    The Supervisor, Customer Master Data is responsible for the supervision and development of the Asia Customer Master Data Team responsible for accurate and timely administration of customer master data, including pricing and contracts. This team is comprised of 7 Customer Data Administrators. The team is responsible for Customer, Plant, Vendor and Business Partner account creation and maintenance, along with related pricing and contract requirements for all Asian Business Areas. The team is also responsible for various customer-related documentation which outlines customer specific requirements and/or detailed instructions for Products Plants, Warehouses and Drivers. The Team supports the Customer Service Organization, Credit/Collections Department, and Sales and Marketing Organizations within each Business Area for Asia. The team researches and corrects customer data discrepancies.

    The Supervisor, Customer Master Data is accountable to document, implement and measure consistent Global Work Processes and Data Standards for all Customer Master, Price Master and Contract Data which may be specific to each Business Area and/or specific to each Country. Various quality reports are required to validate data standards are being adhered to by the Administrators. This position is responsible for Implementation of each SAP Release into SAP to ensure smooth transitions and clean data conversions. Work with the CMD Process Champion and other Information Stewards to make decisions on the Data Standards and or to capture the business requirements to then determine steps necessary for implementation including SAP enhancements.

    Supports Workbook processes and management and work with businesses on process and documentation improvements

  • PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

    This position is accountable for the following end results:

    Customer, Price Master and Contract Data Quality with Customer Master Data

    1. Ensure Data Standards are documented and meet all Business Areas needs

    2. Ensure Customer Master Administrator(s) are trained and understand Work Processes Globally

    3. Remedy tickets and handled timely and appropriately

    4. Outline, document and communicate Quality measures and data standards

    5. Ensure control reports (including Billing Block, ZCL & LB Shell Error Reports) are

    addressed timely

    6. Proper cross-training of team members

    Interface with Business Areas, Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain and Planners, Customer Service, Billing Team, Credit Team and other Master Data Stewards Globally.

    1. Continually work with the various Business Areas to identify Issues and Process improvements.

    2. Ensure continuous training to the various groups for Customer Master process improvements.

    3. Ensure continuous improvement in data quality measures.

    4. Responsible for meeting Service Level Agreements to business areas for processing master data changes.

    5. Compliance with internal control systems, including maintenance of Sarbanes-Oxley controls and support in testing

    7. Provide on-going input to the Global Customer Workbook process, including support to the Online Workbook.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Job incumbent is expected to have Bachelor's Degree in Business or Information Technology discipline
  • Job incumbent is expected to have minimum of 5 years customer service or related experience. Management / Supervisory skills, knowledge of the Customer Service Organization, experience in the SAP system, strong communication and problem solving abilities are required. Must be able to work with individuals at all Levels to resolve issues and or define Work Processes.
  • Fluent in English both writing and speaking.
  • Be able to read and speak Chinese will be an advantage for the position.
