- Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user's specialised role.
- Maintaining and enhancing the performance of existing database programs.
- Design and implement database in accordance with user information needs and views.
- Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup database.
- Minimise database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses.
- Provide proactive and reactive data management support.
- Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures and standards.
- Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.
- Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.
- Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner.
- Adhering to best practices in securely storing and archiving data.
- Reviewing database and user reports, as well as system information.
- Keeping abreast of developments and best practices in database engineering.
- Proven working experience as a Database Administrator Or Database Engineer
- BS degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification
- Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL
- Expertise in database server specification, performance tuning, analysis and optimization
- Strong Experience in database disaster recovery planning and recovery
- Ability to work with database developers, engineers, and different operations and applications engineering teams to help them to identify, analyse, and resolve database performance issues.
- Experience with AWS/Azure desired
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex database problems.
- Experience with MS SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB and/or Postgres desired
- Team-player, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications
- Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.
- Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools
- Familiarity with programming languages API, Python and etc
