    The Role

    At Ekco our People are our everything. We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented Director of Shared Services to help lead and delivery our Shared Services centre based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Director of Shared Services will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization to streamline processes, grow our Ekco Asia team, and deliver high-quality services to our customers.

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategic Leadership:

    • Support the roll out of our strategic roadmap for shared services in Malaysia, aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
    • Drive initiatives to standardize processes, optimize workflows, and leverage technology to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation within shared services operations.
    • Managing the team roster planning, status follow up, tasks delegation, chair team meetings and issue approval.

    Operational Management:

    • Day-to-day oversight of a team of cyber security and cloud specialists to ensure exceptional service skills and techniques are being used to service clients over 24/7 timeline
    • Recruiting and hiring of cyber security and cloud specialists and supporting their full employee life cycle from onboarding through to training and continuing development
    • Managing services centre and working collaboratively with the Leadership Team and business stakeholders on a continued basis.
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of shared services functions, including finance, human resources, IT, procurement, and other administrative services.
    • Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and regulatory requirements.
    • Implement robust controls and risk management practices to mitigate operational risks.

    Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Production of service reports and delivery of group strategic requirements for the growth of the shared services centre. Ensuring optimum service levels to customers.
    • Resolving complex client concerns through appropriate levels within the firm. Acting as a liaison to other departments to facilitate the resolution of client inquiries or complaints.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business units, departments, and senior leadership, to understand their requirements and expectations for shared services.
    • Build strong relationships with internal customers and act as a trusted advisor on shared services matters.

    Team Leadership and Development:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of shared services professionals.
    • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members to foster their professional growth and development.
    • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the shared services organization.

    Financial Management:

    • Develop and manage the shared services budget for the Malaysia region, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and financial targets.
    • Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency.
    • Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and analysis to support decision-making and ensure financial sustainability.

    Qualifications / Experience:

    • Proven experience 6-8+ years in a leadership role overseeing shared services operations, preferably in a multinational organization.
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required in IT shared services / service delivery. Experience with 24 hours IT Systems & Operations will be an added advantage.
    • Candidate should have at least 10+ years of working experience in Cloud & Security SOC/MSS environments, 6-8 of which in leadership roles
    • Fluency in English language essential. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Working knowledge of Windows Active Directory, Microsoft Windows, Azure, Office 365 / Antivirus Administration, Security Systems, Virtualisation, Networking, and Firewalls.
    • Strong understanding of shared services principles, processes, and best practices.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
    • Experience with change management and process improvement initiatives.
    • Financial acumen and budget management skills.
    • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
