    Job Description

    Main Purpose of Role

    • Prospection and acquisition of new customers
    • Development of revenue
    • Market monitoring, including competition
    • Assist in developing marketing and sales policy, with global I&E team
    • Act as the commercial interface between clients and SGS
    • Maintaining customer contacts, identifying needs
    • Monitor leads from the account into operations and ensure compliance with defined timelines and quality requirements
    • Professional representation of SGS to third parties

    Key Accountabilities

    • Achieving revenue targets
    • Making customer appointments
    • Prepare quotations and contracts including pricing in accordance with applicable procedures
    • Establishing long-term relationships with customers
    • Provide technical logistics support and guidance to existing and new clients, both external and internal and create sound business relationships
    • Provide feedback to business teams and affiliates about local and regional account opportunities
    • Be a key contributor in the continuous improvement process of the sales process and organization
    • Meet or exceed agreed growth targets by delivering revenue and profit to the affiliates with regards to assigned segment
    • At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.

    Qualifications

    Skills & Knowledge

    • Knowledge of Logistics, from the (technical) services point of view and ability to develop quickly a clear understanding of the current SGS service and capabilities
    • General business/ industry awareness with an ability to identify opportunities
    • Capacity to develop value creation models based on customer needs understanding ('consultative sales')
    • Must have good communication skills at all levels
    • Organised with some project management skills
    • Tenacious and target driven
    • Problem solver, diplomatic and assertive
    • Team player with a real ability to network and collaborate
    • Ability to work independently and coordinate several activities simultaneously

    Experience

    • 2-years successful experience in the assigned service segment, preferably in logistics or technical services
    • Demonstrable track record in sales and commercial development

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor degree or equivalent, preferable in relevant technical discipline or in commercial / economical matters
    • Must - business grade English language
