- Develop in-depth knowledge of most laboratory tests, processes, methods and instrumentation.
- Safely and competently use required equipment and instrumentation without supervision.
- Performs required tests using Methods of Analyses found on myGraymont without supervision.
- Assign samples to appropriate testing methods in accordance with Internal Testing Procedures (ITP).
- Conduct test result fault-finding to diagnose reasons behind deviant results (processes followed, errors etc).
- Perform advanced troubleshooting for common problems and uncommon instrumentation problems without supervision.
- Perform and assist Lab Technicians/Lab Chemists and Senior Lab Technicians/Senior Lab complete calibration and preventative maintenance duties as assigned without supervision.
- Can multi-task to enable flexibility in delivery of required work outputs.
- Lead the process of lab method development and review.
- Coordinates projects such as testing, installing and commissioning new instruments, drafting procedures for use.
- Manages change for new equipment and methods.
- Participation in lab audits.
- Interfaces with internal stakeholders to coordinate delivery of required testing services.
- Coordinates work of Lab Technicians/Lab Chemists and Senior Lab Technicians/Senior Lab Chemists.
- Coaches Lab Technicians/Lab Chemists and Senior Lab Technicians/Senior Lab Chemists.
- Completes competency assessments on Lab Technicians/Lab Chemists and Senior Lab Technicians/Senior Lab Chemists.
- Review test reports to check the results in the report before they are released to our customers
