    UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub 2) is a newly set up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of UOB Group Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

    About the Department

    The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

    Job Responsibilities

    As the Technical Delivery Manager for Cards, you will be responsible to collaborate, engage and work with stakeholders from project inception, analysis, design, development, testing to pre- and post-deployment phases. Key objective is to ensure good quality and smooth delivery of cards technology system enhancements that are fully in compliance with mandated framework and guidelines.

    Role will involve management of project technical delivery with a view for end-to-end flow, requirements management, active engagement/participation in design and development, management of testing requirements, and planning for deployment and support.

    Other responsibilities include:

    Lead, build and manage a team of system analysts and developers supporting cards platform and strategic projects across the UOB franchise

    Champion the delivery of high quality cards systems design and ensure adherence to global architecture principles, enterprise design principles, security and control standards

    Build the team's capabilities to consistently maintain the repository of system features inventory and data maps for the cards domain

    Plan technical deliverables (including any system enhancements and upgrades) to meet project's requirements within allocated budget and schedule.

    Plan & collaborate across different application teams to manage technical dependencies of the solution

    Plan, monitor and manage risks/issues related to technical delivery

    Lead and engage in innovative problem-solving activities, requiring conceptual thinking creating 'out of the box' solutions with prototypes and pilots.

    Partner with Architects and Development Lead to ensure solution design complies with enterprise design principles, security and control standards

    Partner with Development Manager in managing application teams to build the enhancements

    Partner with Test Manager to ensure completion of System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), performance / load testing and application security testing with quality results

    Manage technical implementation plan across application teams - coordinate technical implementation activities across application teams to ensure non-event production cutover and adequate post implementation support

    Escalate issues that impacts project schedule on timely basis and propose workarounds/resolutions

    Job Requirements

  • At least 6 years of Delivery, Project, Stakeholder & Vendor Management experience, team management
  • Experience in actual systems development work, with prior coding, functional specifications and technical specifications and systems development and testing experience
  • Hands-on experience on Oracle database, Web servers (such as JBoss Webserver Apache, Oracle iPlanet, Oracle HTTP web server, etc.) and Java platform / J2ee and Java web container (such as WebLogic, JBoss EAP, JBoss Webserver Tomcat, IBM Websphere etc)
  • Proven track record in developing and delivering global/regional IT capabilities for a multi-national/regional company with annual budgetary responsibility
  • Experience in implementing large-scale, highly available applications or other large project implementation
  • Experience in service-oriented technologies
  • Good understanding and experience in software development cycle
