Regional Finance Controller - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - Vontier

Description

The Regional Financial Controller is responsible for all finance and accounting operations in the region and will lead and manage a regional team of Finance Managers.

Financial Reporting

•Lead and manage a regional team to oversee and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and ensuring up to date knowledge on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US GAAP and adhered to.

•Perform financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analyzing industry trends and assessing the financial health of the company.

•Oversee the operations and development of the company's finance departments including creating and reviewing policies, budgeting, recruiting, training and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures.

•Comprehensive reviews of profit and loss variances and conduct balance sheet reviews.

•Preparation of monthly, quarterly (local to HFM/Stat) and annual account reconciliations (Stat to GAAP), monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards and assist with cash flow forecasting.

•Supervise the documentation of the company's financial status and forecasts.

•Mediate between the organization, employees, stakeholders, shareholders and investors on financial issues for amicable resolution of differences and collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support in strategic planning and decision-making.

Cash Flow Management

•Manage cash flow by monitoring daily operations, analysing cash needs, and coordinating cash inflows and outflows and making recommendations to optimize working capital management.

•Implement strategies to optimize working capital and ensure liquidity requirements are met.

Compliance and Auditing

•Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, standards, and reporting requirements.

•Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring accurate and timely provision of required financial information.

•Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure compliance with relevant financial laws and regulations.

Financial Systems and Processes

•Continuously improve financial systems, processes, and controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

•Stay current with industry trends and best practices in finance and accounting.

Others

•Provide support on any other ad hoc project or assignment, such as handling operational integration of acquired entities, new business initiatives, launch of new entities etc.

Team Leadership

•Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

•Set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide coaching and development opportunities.

•Degree in Business, Finance or Finance Professional qualification

•5- 10 years of relevant work experience in finance, controlling and audit with HFM experience.

•Asia regional experience is a must, candidates with experience in setting up regional subsidiaries will be viewed favourably.

•Have a comprehensive view of the commercial areas in the company and a strong understanding of project accounting.

•Tech savvy with a passion for data analytics. Experience with PowerBI, will be a plus.

•Deep understanding of a matrix organization and ability to manage stakeholders from various functions, across countries and different levels of management.
