    Description

    The Accounts and Payments team maintains strict internal controls across accounting and finance. The role requires you to process client payments on time, monitor incoming payments for suspicious activity, investigate and resolve such transactions, and conduct audits. Deriv has over 2 million clients and affiliates in Asia, Europe, South America, Africa, and Australia. We expect you to address client queries in a detailed manner.

    As a Payments and Reconciliations Executive at Deriv, you will support the optimal financial health of the company using well-documented accounting practices and payment reconciliation protocols.     Your challenges

    • Track, manage, and reconcile transactions daily to ensure our accounting records are accurate.
    • Monitor payments, identify and prevent fraud instances, and resolve any gaps and discrepancies.
    • Ensure internal controls compliance and necessary documents are regularly updated to be audit-ready.
    • Highlight risks and deviations in the reconciliation process to seniors on an immediate basis.
    • Identify activities and opportunities for process improvement and automation.
    • Process clients' payments on time and resolve clients' payment-related queries.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business studies
    • Understanding of Anti-money laundering (AML), fraud, and risk management concepts
    • Proficiency in Microsoft applications s uch as Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and databases
    • Aptitude to quickly learn new (proprietary) systems and procedures
    • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
