    About the Role

    To process all compliance screening that are out sourced to the department within the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) and according to the agreed Standard Operating Procedure and guidelines

    Operations: Processing/ Compliance Screening

  • Ensure the team to process all compliance screening that are out-sourced to the department according to the agreed Standard Operating Procedure and guidelines.
  • Assist in the implementation of an effective Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Framework & to ensure compliance with AML regulations and Group Compliance policies.
  • To carry out AML and Economic Sanctioned Screening to flag out PEP, SDN, tax evasion cases and adverse findings.
  • To complete screening and reviewing activities in order to meet regulatory and AIA requirements and to reduce any reputational, legal and financial risk.
  • Provide support to Singapore team and ensure their requests and queries are promptly responded.
  • Assist to supervise the operations team in Malaysia and ensure they are well-coordinated. Issues are promptly raised to key Management where appropriate.
  • Ensure task assigned are being processed accurately with prudent risk assessment being performed and within the agreed TAT and Quality as detailed in the Service Level Agreement (SLA) with the business partner.
  • Staff Development & Management

  • To review department's resources, processing touch time with superior to ensure department has sufficient resources to deliver the agreed SLA.
  • Constantly review team members' performance and provide necessary guidance to team members for continuous improvement in productivity and quality.
  • To guide, monitor and coach team members.
  • Conduct training to new members and to conduct review session with team members to minimize error recurrence.
  • Promote & drive team members' engagement and collaboration among team members.
  • Cultivate good customer services attitudes among the team members.
  • Coaching

  • To coach and provide guidance to junior analyst (if any).
  • To update team leaders on the progress of the assigned junior (if any) and identify any gaps
  • Process Improvement

  • To drive the team to review and improve work processes from time to time to improve department's efficiency and effectiveness and raise such improvement initiatives to the business partner.
  • Adhoc Task

  • Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet business requirements.
  • Job Requirements :

    Education & Experience:

  • Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree in any field with 3-5 years' work experience in financial Crime Compliance in financial institution. Experience in Life insurance will be an advantage.
  • Specific Skills

  • Possess experiences in life insurance operations and supervising a team of staff.
  • Experiences in conducting reviews on client screenings, name searches, transaction monitoring and quality assurance.
  • Proficient in Chinese Language
  • Proficient in Microsoft office & possess advance skills in Microsoft Excel will be an advantage.
  • Good in analytical skills, have fundamental knowledge in process improvement related techniques to improve the processes efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Strong time management skills to be able to handle deliverables timeline effectively.
