    Description

    Geomatical and Land Surveyor plays a critical role in land development, infrastructure projects, environmental management, and urban planning by providing accurate spatial data and analysis for decision-making and regulatory compliance.

    Responsibilities

    1. Surveying Tasks: Conduct land surveys to determine exact measurements and locations of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, land division, mapping, and other purposes.
    2. Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to land and geographic features using surveying instruments, GPS, GIS, and other technologies.
    3. Mapping and Cartography: Create maps, charts, and other graphical representations of survey data using computer-aided design (CAD) software and geographic information systems (GIS).
    4. Boundary Identification: Determine property boundaries, right-of-ways, easements, and land titles through research and fieldwork.
    5. Report Preparation: Prepare accurate and detailed survey reports, legal descriptions, and other documentation for clients, government agencies, and regulatory bodies.
    6. Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of survey data with relevant standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
    7. Communication: Collaborate with engineers, architects, developers, and other professionals to provide surveying support and coordinate project requirements

    Qualifications

    1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Surveying Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Some positions may require a master's degree or additional certification.
    2. Experience: Previous experience in land surveying or related fieldwork is often required. Entry-level positions may be available for recent graduates or individuals with internship experience.
    3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in using surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS receivers, and laser scanners. Familiarity with CAD software, GIS applications, and surveying databases is essential.
    4. Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately measure and record precise data in various environmental conditions and terrain types.
    5. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex surveying challenges and discrepancies.
    6. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders effectively.
    7. Physical Fitness: Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrain, and willingness to travel to remote locations for fieldwork.
