About the Financial Controller Role:
As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the group's financial management processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance and strategic financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the bank's overall objectives
• Work with the leaders of strategic business units (SBUs) to support new business initiatives by providing sound advice in line with the Business's overall business and financial objectives
• Provide strategic financial advisory and guidance through key financial information and operational analytics and recommendations to the CEO and Businesses of the Bank in the development and monitoring of the business's goals and objectives
• Implement modern technologies and tools to automate routine tasks and reporting
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
• Provide insights into financial performance, highlighting areas for improvement and growth
• Communicate financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership
• Explore and integrate emerging financial technologies to enhance operational efficiency and data analytics

To succeed in this Financial Controller job, you need to be strong with in-depth, hands-on strategic finance.

Key Requirements :

• A qualified accountant with an undergraduate or post graduate degree and with over 12 years of experience in the finance related field
• Broad knowledge of accounting standards and reporting requirements, regulatory framework set by relevant authorities/agencies in banking and finance industry
• Exhibit particularly strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills that can be used in motivating, influencing and advising the Group CFO, Group CEO and Business Heads
• Highly-developed analytical skills in drawing the conclusions around key business management and financial pieces of work and influencing skills to persuade key decision-makers to implement solutions around this
• Maintain a high standard/quality of work and continually seek out continuous improvement
