- Facilitating risk workshops (some or all of HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, Safety Design, ALARP, LOPA, Bow Tie workshops)
- Preparation of risk analysis studies (qualitative, semi-quantitative, quantitative) and formal safety assessment (FSA) studies, including MAE screening, Fire and Explosion Risk Analysis, Non Flammable Risk Analysis (Dropped Object Risk, Ship Collision Risk, Occupational Risk, Structural Risk), Escape Temporary Refuge, Evacuation and Rescue Analysis, Emergency Systems Survivability Analysis, ALARP Evaluations.
- Safety engineering skills within specialty area.
- Preparation of safety cases and / or safety reports, including Facility Description, Safety Management System Description, FSA Description, Hazard Registers, Bow tie Diagrams.
- Supervise and provide guidance to juniors.
- Ensuring consistency of delivery and technical assurance across projects performed by the team.
- Supports preparation of tenders as required.
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Masters Degree in Chemical will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in risk and safety in oil and gas or a similarly hazardous industry.
- Understanding of oil and gas risk and safety related codes and standards.
- Experience in oil and gas systems such as fixed and floating production systems, subsea pipelines, drilling, onshore pipelines, onshore processing plants, offshore construction facilities, offshore accommodation facilities.
- Experience in project development phases such as front end and concept studies, FEED, detailed design, installation hookup and commissioning, operations, brownfield and greenfield projects, decommissioning and abandonment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on report generation and compliance with internal document control procedures.
