- Create and update a diverse and innovative Chinese menu that aligns with current culinary trends and guest preferences.
- Ensure the authenticity and quality of each dish, incorporating creativity and a passion for Chinese cuisine.
- Oversee day-to-day Chinese Banquet and Chinese kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Implement and enforce food safety and hygiene standards to maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
- Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Provide guidance to chefs and kitchen staff to enhance their skills and ensure consistency in food preparation.
- Conduct regular taste tests and inspections to maintain the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure the freshness and availability of ingredients.
- Control and manage food costs by optimizing portion sizes, minimizing waste, and negotiating with suppliers.
- Monitor and manage kitchen inventory efficiently.
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role, with a focus on Chinese cuisine.
- In-depth knowledge of Chinese culinary techniques, ingredients, and regional variations.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Creativity and ability to develop unique and appealing menu items.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Certification from a culinary school is a plus.
