    Network Cloud & Security Solution Engineer Manager

    The Network, Cloud, and Security Solution Engineer Manager at SITA plays a critical role in shaping the company's technology planning strategy and influencing design decisions within our suite of solutions, all of which are intended to cater to the business needs of our diverse customer base. This role involves acting as a trusted advisor, offering guidance, support, and expertise during the proposal, implementation, and deployment phases of both new and existing product developments. Your inputs are crucial in ensuring that our customer solutions are effectively customized and optimized.

    As a Solution Engineer, your role encompasses understanding complex technical landscapes and providing informed leadership in the realms of network, cloud, and security. You will leverage your expert knowledge to advise on best-fit technologies and services that can address our customers' unique needs. Your contributions will be instrumental in steering our technology roadmap in line with emerging trends.     What you will do

  • Technical Qualification and Proposal Ownership : This role involves providing comprehensive technical qualification and taking ownership of the technical aspects of proposals presented to clients. This requires deep understanding and continuous learning of current, new, and evolving technologies as well as proficiency with SITA's diverse solution portfolios.
  • Solution Design and Coordination : The Network, Cloud & Security Solution Engineer is responsible for designing and coordinating the development of both standard and complex solutions, which could involve multiple parties internally and externally. This includes selecting and managing third-party vendors to ensure customers' specific requirements are met.
  • Customer Engagement and Product Promotion : The role includes promoting SITA by providing customers with comprehensive, up-to-date information about current products, product enhancements, and new solutions. This is achieved through customer meetings, workshops, and other engagement channels. The Engineer should ensure designs are efficiently implemented 'Right the First Time' (RFT) and can be supported operationally.
  • Collaboration and Idea Sharing : Collaborating with colleagues to gain and share ideas, knowledge, and opportunities is key to this role. By fostering a culture of knowledge exchange, we can drive innovation and collective growth.
  • Staff Leadership, Mentorship, and Training : A significant part of this role involves leading, mentoring, and coaching team members. Organizing technical training and facilitating certifications on the products and technologies that support the Air Transport Industry (ATI) is vital.
  • Pre-contract Support : The Network, Cloud, and Security Solution Engineer Manager supports account teams or competency centers during pre-contract phases with insightful technical designs and advice. This helps to ensure a smooth qualification, proposal, and contract process.
  • Strategic Account Development : This role entails active participation in the development of technical account strategies alongside the sales team, aiming for maximum account penetration and long-term commercial benefits for SITA. The Engineer's technical expertise can help drive sales success and customer satisfaction.

  • Networking: Advanced knowledge of networking protocols, architecture, and topology design, including TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), load balancing, and network security.
  • Cloud Computing: Advanced knowledge of cloud computing technologies, including public, private, and hybrid clouds, and cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • SASE: In-depth knowledge of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) architecture, including network security, cloud-based security services, and zero trust network access.
  • Network Security: In-depth knowledge of network security principles and technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection and prevention, and endpoint security.
  • Cloud Security: Knowledge of cloud security principles and ability to design and implement secure cloud-based solutions.
  • SD-WAN: In-depth knowledge of SD-WAN architecture, including various deployment models, routing protocols, and traffic management techniques.
  • Public Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, and ability to design and deploy cloud-native solutions.
