    Get to know the Role

    As a data analyst, you will play a crucial role in our data warehouse / lake management and analytics processes. The team works closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientist, Product Managers, Legal, Compliance and Business stakeholders across SEA to understand and derive requirements, tailoring solutions to their needs. You will be pivotal in ensuring the seamless flow of data, designing effective data solutions, and providing clarifications to enhance the overall data warehouse lake and analytics framework.

    The Day-to-Day Activities

    • Solve key business problems through using an appropriate mix of strategic thinking and computational methods.
    • Develop cross-domain and cross-functional knowledge about GX's business, products and operations through working with vast volumes of data.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams from multiple lines of business (LOBs) to conduct requirement gathering and perform comprehensive data mapping specifications.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPI) and reporting metrics.
    • Facilitate and bridge communication between business stakeholders and technical project team, to align technical solutions to business expectations.
    • Perform data mapping and drive internal analytics to support data-driven decision making and continuously refine how we operate.
    • Identify and resolve data-related issues promptly, by conducting thorough investigations and clarifications.
    • Define and document data elements, to ensure consistent terminology and enable self-explanatory data fields.
    • Develop and uphold best practices with respect to change management, documentation and data protocols.

    The Must-Haves

    • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
    • No work experience required. Open to fresh graduates.
    • Sound knowledge of SQL and Python.
    • Cognizant of agile DevOps processes, coding best practices and performance tuning.
    • Experience with data visualisation tools and techniques, e.g. Tableau, PowerBI or similar BI tools.
    • Strong problem solver, able to investigate and resolve issues independently.
    • Strong analytical mindset. Meticulous with high attention to detail.
    • Able to work under pressure and deliver work around quickly to ensure business as usual.
    • Strong communicator with ability to switch hats between data/technical speak and business/layperson speak.

    The Nice-to-Haves

    • Experience working in the digital banking or financial services industry.
    • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
    • Familiarity with machine learning and advanced analytics techniques.
    • Knowledge of deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch.
    • Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) or computer vision (CV) techniques.
