About the role

As the Senior Engineer, Plan & Spec for Carrier, will manage and grow relationships with owners, developers, consultants and engineers to secure specification on major commercial projects across Malaysia. The candidate will also be responsible for specifying commercial projects in the commercial, industrial, data center, education, healthcare, retail, hospitality and mixed-development segments. Leverage new and existing relationships with owners, developers and consultants that can be leveraged in order to secure new business

Key Responsibilities:

As the Senior Engineer, Plan & Spec you'll be responsible for:

• Work with the Plan & Spec Manager to develop and execute the growth strategy for Malaysia.
• Establish and maintain good relationships with consultants and key accounts and identify business opportunities through customer visitation.
• Manage individual sales pipeline and provide regular, accurate sales forecasts.
• Support the building of solutions for commercial HVAC, move from product selling to overall solutions selling encompassing systems, services and controls.
• Provide equipment selection, system design, heat load estimation and technical support to consultants and key accounts.
• Plan & Spec to identify customer's needs and enhance the company's chances of securing orders via technical understanding.
• Identify opportunities for campaigns and services, using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators.
• Learn and understand the latest code & standard for air-conditioning, provide updates to owners & consultants
• Provide input to the marketing of new product development plans.
• Maintain accurate and up to date records on CRM system.
• Provide excellent service to clients at all levels.
• Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, networking events and attend company meetings.
• Require to reach out to Architect as well to discuss on HVAC design

Requirements

We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated individual to be part of our plan & spec initiative. The candidate will support the Plan & Spec Manager on strategic initiatives focused on driving growth across the organization. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum you must have:

• Has minimum Bachelor Degree in Engineering
• Has minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in sales within HVAC industry
• Has reachout and network connections with owners, developers and M&E consultants
• Has background or network in Architect to drive decision of aesthetic and space design
• Exposure in AutoCAD and Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is an added advantage
• Willing to travel and has own transportation
• Able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Able to work with minimum supervision but in a structured environment.
• Results oriented and attention to detail personnel
