    Job Title :
    Lead, RENTAS Operations
    ROLE PURPOSE


    • Manage delivery of customer-focused, effective, and efficient clearing, funds transfer and securities settlement
    services to ensure that PayNet becomes a clearing, payment and settlement system of choice.


    • Advocate and market RENTAS' payment and settlement services to expand role and customer-base.
    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :

    RENTAS - Operations and Project Support


    • Formulate and implement stringent operational procedures, establish proper documentation, and uphold internal controls to ensure timely and orderly clearing, payment and settlement processing as well as to mitigate all possible risks associated with the delivery of services
    • Provide value-added advisory and consultancy services to stakeholders via an in-depth understanding of the stakeholder's business area, anticipating needs of stakeholders, and continuously keeping abreast with market developments in clearing, payment, settlement, and securities depository
    • Continuously keeping abreast with market developments in clearing, payment, settlement, and securities depository
    • Undertake self-assessment on international best practices and standards i.e., Principles for Financial Market Infrastructure issued by BIS Basle and Customer Security Program issued by SWIFT
    • Undertake continuous process improvements by benchmarking against standards and adopting models, best practices, and methodologies, and ensuring they are in accordance with BNM's guidelines and stakeholder expectations
    • Manage processes, resources and systems to ensure service continuity, and minimal business disruption, in accordance with the expectations of all stakeholders, international standards and best practices.
    • Undertake rigorous quantitative analysis of payment flows and liquidity positions to build simulation models to assess events and issues that are of systemic importance.
    • Build capacity and capability of subordinates to ensure that they deliver the required service levels.
    • To be aware of and uphold the security responsibilities as stated in BNM's Information Security Policy.
    • To ensure all the information asset processing and day-to-day activities are based on the BNM's Guidelines on Information Handling and Security Classification
    • Ensure issues are managed and resolved within the acceptable timeline
    • Communicate with stakeholders (internal and external) on matters related to RENTAS operations, operational procedures updates and any developments in payments and regulatory requirements.

    • Good knowledge of business operations to be able to advise participants effectively on compliance of rules and guidelines
    • Sound analytical skills to interpret data and latest development trends of global depositories
    • Frequent contacts with participants to understanding their requirements and resolve issues timely and effectively
