    Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations.

    We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.

    Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.

    Job Responsibilities

    The SAMS Ops Support Officer is an intermediate position responsible for providing Operations support services. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of operations support services in alignment with UOB operations support infrastructure and processes.

    Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to day operation tasks i.e. perform the manual disambiguation of potential matches generated from CitiScreening Transaction & Customer and handling of court orders & freezing orders from governmental bodies.
  • Manage paper & bounce eStatement process i.e. perform review & investigate for all accounts where statements have been returned to the Bank and to contact customer to update address.
  • Responsible to identify, analyzing, and deploying process improvement to cross functional process.
  • Manage MIS/monthly report by extract data from various source files and/or systems and databases/ data warehouses and transform these data for use for delivery to internal clients.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Work with the team, under minimal supervision and ensure all deliverables and objectives are met.Not limited to the above, the candidate is required to always ensure all processes in compliance with bank's policies & regional guidelines.

    Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 years of working experience in operations capacity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Proactive leadership and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work under pressure
