    ROLE CONTEXTNEED TO KNOW
    Group innovationis set up with the express mandate of growing and transforming FWD'sinsurance businesses through digital innovation.

    The DIDCpart of Group Innovationwill serve as a core digitalinnovation centre for FWD as a whole and encourage innovation exploration in Malaysia.


    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Design, develop, deploy, and improve web applicationsand micro-services
    • Explore latest technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Blockchain, etc.
    • Web and server-side development to prototype features based on the new tech
    • Collaborate with cross functional departments and squad to work in a team to deliver applications.
    • Plan and document technical specifications for features or system design
    • Work closely with product and design to build features that delight our customers
    • Make data driven decisions
    • Build dynamic and intuitive interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks like or Angular.
    • Develop and maintain the server-side logic using , Python, Ruby on Rails, or Java. Manage database interactions and ensure data integrity.
    • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Implement best practices for data security and application performance.
    • Work closely with project managers, designers, and other engineers. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
    QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE


    • Degree in engineering orequivalent practical experience
    • Startup or major tech companies experience preferred.
    KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS


    • 3+ years of full stack development.
    • Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks , Angular).
    • Expertise in back-end programming languages , Python, Ruby on Rails, Java) and frameworks(Express, Django).
    • Strong experience with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
    • Passionate about developingfast and reliable APIs
    • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • Experiencecontainerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
    • Python, Javascript, andAWS Cloud servicesexperiences are preferred
    • Familiarity withdev ops is an advantage.
