    Job Title: Camp TeacherReports to: Camp DirectorDuration: 21 January to 4 February 2024Location: UCSI Schools Kuala Lumpur Campus & UCSI Schools Springhill CampusResponsible for: Groups of around 15-20 students.
    Job DescriptionUnder the direction of the Camp Director, you will be responsible to:
    • Teach English as a Foreign Language
    • Lead, teach, supervise and engage these students via Art & Craft/ STEAM/ Drama/ Music/ Library Activities.
    • Conduct agreed night activities including games, movies, bedtime story and others and carry out night time supervision (for teachers assigned houseparent duties).
    • Ensure the safety and well-being of students - especially safeguarding and child protection.
    • Communicate and work cooperatively with teacher assistants, parents and other staff.

    Camp Teachers must have the ability to:
    • Use motivational and fair strategies to engage students, which enables and encourages campers to integrate into the English speaking environment smoothly and effortlessly
    • Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
    • Support and practice imaginative, engaging and learner-centred education
    • Maintain high positive energy, enthusiasm and motivation
    • Demonstrate customer service and interpersonal skills
    • Create a positive and engaging environment
    • Effectively time manage and prioritise
    • Ensure campers' safety at all times especially safeguarding and child protection
    • Be inclusive and flexible

    Camp Teachers must possess:
    • A TEFL qualification (or equivalent)
    • At least one year's TEFL teaching experience.
    • Experience of working with students in current/previous employment.
    • Summer/ Winter camp experience preferably, but not essential.
    • Knowledge of current safeguarding and child protection practices employed at International Schools
    • Experience of working in a fast-moving environment where stress levels can at times be very high
