    The Role

    Reporting to SSE Customer Support and Training Manager, you are primarily responsible for providing Aspen Tempest and Mette software support and training to our users in Asia Pacific.

    You are expected to travel on a regular basis to countries in the region to deliver training and onsite support.

    Your Impact

  • Support clients locally or remotely by helping them to get and/or maintain access to AspenTech SSE products software and workflows, properly using all internal company procedures and systems for support, tracking and reporting, escalating issues of greater complexity to R&D if needed.
  • Develop long-term relationships with the user base you are assigned to support, learning about their concerns and their challenges, and working as a team with our Sales and Solution Consulting teams to solve them with our software.
  • Expand knowledge of onsite and remote support standards, troubleshooting techniques, as well as use company ́s knowledge base to better execute tasks.
  • Participate and contribute content to knowledge development and/or training programs through the organization and hosting of training or workshops activities.
  • Participate in local industry events and tradeshows (as needed).
  • What You'll Need

  • First degree in Petroleum Engineering or reservoir engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years technical experience in E&P industry, working for an oil company, services, or software company.
  • Software ability: Good working knowledge of at least one exploration and production software suite or similar software
  • Client interface: A proven ability to manage customer expectations.
  • High level of English, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with hands-on problem-solving skills
  • Prior knowledge of Aspentech applications, in particular Tempest would be an asset.
  • Experience in Python scripting or similar language is an added advantage.
  • Ability to travel. Travel is usually less than 25% and are mostly international.
