    Description

    Consolidation and Reporting

    1. Supervise, coach and guide the team in preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements of PMB Group and other monthly schedules as and when required, for submission within the deadline set to assist management decision making and ensure compliance with statutory requirements and financial covenants. The type of assistance includes:

    • Monitor to ensure financial data of PMB and its subsidiaries are uploaded accurately and promptly into the consolidation system according to the set timeline.
    • Perform consolidation and raise the elimination or group adjustment journals to eliminate intra-group transactions or other necessary adjustments.
    • Liaise with UEM Group for submission of consolidated financial statements
    • Coordinate and review monthly variance analysis for comparative periods based on the consolidated financial statements and information gathered from other departments and units.

    2. Collaborate with Treasury and Stakeholder Relations ("TSR") on preparation of PMB Group Quarterly Board/Audit Committee Papers to be presented for managements' direction and decision making. The type of assistance includes:

    • Prepare schedules/workings for variance explanation for quarterly results
    • Provide information and analysis for any queries relating to the consolidated financial statements.

    3. Collaborate with TSR on internal financial analysis for senior management, culminating into presentation slides for internal performance meetings (e.g.: Senior Management meetings) for items including:

    • Revenue / cost identification and allocation by highways, by regions, by sections, by RSA, by Layby
    • Revenue and expense analysis (variance analysis on the difference between actual and planned performance and also against actuals for relevant comparative periods.)

    4. Coordinate and prepare annual audited consolidated financial statements for PMB Group for submission to relevant authorities, shareholders and other stakeholders on timely basis. The type of assistance includes: -

    • Review and compile consolidation packages submitted by PMB and its subsidiaries and prepare PMB Group consolidation package within the specified deadlines.
    • Prepare related audit schedules and analysis for audited financial statements.

    5. Preparation of half yearly unaudited financial statements of PLUS Berhad within 90 days after 30 June for sharing to sukukholders, as per sukuk covenants.

    6. Liaise effectively with external auditors to ensure accuracy of accounting treatments and timely production of audited financial statements, including managing audit timeline and deliverables.

    7 Supervise and coordinate the compilation of any financial related information, example as listed below, which is required for submission to the government agencies (LLM, KKR, Bank Negara Malaysia, Dept of Statistics) for PMB Group and its subsidiaries, periodically or on ad hoc basis including:

    • Operation and maintenance cost breakdown by highways ("O&M") to LLM
    • Monthly and quarterly statistical surveys ("QSS") to Dept of Statistics
    • Annual Economic Survey to Dept of Statistics

    8. Prepare assessment of accounting treatment, application of new accounting standards and any other relevant accounting technical issues to ensure compliance with accounting standards. Work jointly with GL unit to finalise the accounting entries with regards to accounting treatment matters and alignment with system requirements.

    Compliance and Others

    1. Coordinate and review the annual Zakat Provisions for PMB Group of companies.

    2. Prepare the quarterly obligation checklists for concession monitoring agreement, and financial covenants/sukuk and response to the respective department in-charge within the specified deadlines.

    3. Liaise with various departments to execute and coordinate ad-hoc and special projects as and when required
